I'm trying to diagnose a problem at LabVIEW code running on a machine at a different site from my current location.
When diagnosing problems my normal mode of attack is to employ an arsenal of breakpoints and probes.
Unfortunately, while I can see the block diagram, I cannot seem to be able to right-click on wires or any other structures for that matter. The left mouse button works fine, and as far as I can see LabVIEW otherwise runs normally.
I suppose this question is really for NI engineers. Is there a reason for this behaviour? Is there a conservative timeout for the right-click operation? Do you have suggested workarounds that would allow me to place probes on the block diagram?

I should add: I can right-click on other programs and on the Windows Desktop. It's only the LabVIEW block diagram that doesn't seem to be working.

Hi Caleyjag,
I haven’t had any problems with Remote Desktop before so I think it's related to Timbuktu. Have you tried using the keyboard shortcut for right clicking? Does that work?
You could also use indicators, but this would be more trouble.
Have you experienced this on multiple machines? Are you using Windows 7 on both machines?

It appears to be a Timbuktu problem.
Using Remote Desktop I am able to utilize the right-click functionality in LabVIEW just fine.

I had the same problem using windows 10 and LabVIEW 2021. The solution was to change the display over the remote desktop to a single screen instead of using all monitors for the remote connection.
