Dear all, I had LabView 8.6.1 and report generation toolkit for MSoffice 2003 perfectly working in my laptop.
Now I have added MSoffice 2010 and report generation toolkit does not work anymore since it is linked to new office.
How can I inform Labview to link report generation toolkit to the old MSoffice 2003?
regards
Max

Hello Max,
as you can see below, there MS Office 2010 are not compatible with LabVIEW Generation ToolKit 1.1.4 ( LabVIEW 8.6).

I believe that by the time that you installed the Office 2010 something happened in terms of incompatibility. Did you install the two versions of MS Office in the same folder?
Do you receive an error?

Dear Antonios,
thank you for the link. This explains why the Report Generation toolkit 1.1.4 does not work with Office 2010.
It is still not clear how to link Report Generation toolkit 1.1.4 to the old office 2003.
To answer your question, I have installed both Office 2003 and Office 2010 in two different folders in "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office".
I did not receive any error.

Massimo

Hello Massimo,
in the link that I sent you above, there is a note. It says that first you have to install Microsoft Office and Excel before installing the report generation toolkit. Did you do it like this? I mean, if I understood correctly, you installed the MS Office 2010, without uninstalling first the Report Generation Toolkit.
Have you tried to uninstall and reinstall the Report Generation Toolkit after the installation of MS Office 2010?

Hi Antonios, yes , after having installed MS Office 2010, I uninstalled and reinstalled the Report Generation Toolkit.
Unfortunately it did not work, Report Generation Toolkit still links to the newst Office
Thanks

Massimo

The Report Generation Toolkit is ActiveX based. When you install the newest version of Office it registers the ActiveX server for that software, which the toolkit adapts to and uses.
Uninstalling Office 2010 would solve the issue, otherwise you will need to look at unregistering the 2010 component of Office ActiveX - but I'm not sure if that's possible.
