Problem with installing NI IMAQ for USB

Hi

i am trying to install "NI IMAQ for USB" on my computer, but the installer always shows the error message "You must have Vision 7.1 or higher with LabVIEW 7.0 or higher, or you must have Vision Assistant 7.1 or higher to use this add-on" even though there is LabView 7.1 and Vision already installed.

Can someone help me to solve this problem??

Hello Sebastian.

Before installing IMAQ for USB, you MUST install ni-vision 7.1.

thanks for yor answer.

My company bought the NI IMAQ for IEEE 1394 and this is working with the installed LabVIEW environment.

I am wondering why then the USB version doesnt work.

Is it really necessary to buy the whole Vision Development Kit to run the USB version?

Hi Sebastian,

The answer is YES, you need VISION SW to use this driver.

Like mentioned on the download page of the USB IMAQ driver you need this system requirements to use this driver:
- Windows 2000/XP
- LabVIEW 7.0 or higher with NI Vision 7.1 or higher for the USB LabVIEW support.
- Vision Assistant 7.1 or higher for the USB Vision Assistant plugin module.
