Problem with file path control

I choose 'New or existing' in browser option.

If I choose an existing file or folder, it runs OK, but if I just type a name to in order to create a new file or folder, always got error. So, looks like the 'New' mode does not work for me.

Anyone know why this happen? Thanks a lot.

You didn't clarify your error.  Is the path coming out not correct?  When you can select a file that doesn't exist, the dialog box/button doesn't create the file for you.  You would still be responsible for creating the file.

So as to create a New File of a Folder, you ve to use the Open/Create/Replace File or the New Folder primitives respectively.

See the attached Vi in LV 7.1.

Care to share some code?  It is really hard to understand issues without good code context.
