Problem with connecting simulated hardware to LabVIEW NXG 4.0

Solved!
Go to solution

Hi everyone,

I am doing LabVIEW NXG Core 1 online course in NI Online Training, In the first module they explain how to connect the simulated hardware with LabVIEW NXG, I followed the same procedure as they do to create the simulated hardware in NI MAX after they create the hardware it automatically updated to LabVIEW NXG(version 2.0) system designer but in my case, it is not detected. I am using LabVIEW NXG 4.0, can anyone know why it is not detected, if so please help me to solve this problem.

Please try following steps. In the most case if you only have one simulation device, it will be automatically selected.

Create Analog Input TaskCreate Analog Input Task

Simulation Device has already been selected.Simulation Device has already been selected.

Hi, Emboar_Dymax thanks for your reply, But you did not get my problem it's all my fault I did not mention about the simulated hardware in detail, I am sorry for that, The simulated hardware is NI cDAQ-9178, I hereby attached the screenshot of the online trainer pc and my pc screenshot

Capture.JPGThis is trainer PC In this you can see the simulated cDAQ in yellow colour connected to the PC.

Capture2.JPGThis is my PC you can see only the web camera is connected with the PC the simulated hardware is not in there.

This is the screenshot of NI MAX in which I created the simulated cDAQ device.

This is the link for LabVIEW NXG core 1, If you are unable to understand my problem please go to the link and click the first module you can find "Configuring simulated hardware demonstration".

I saw the same result with Training module. Have you installed DAQmx support for LabVIEW NXG?

Can you find DAQmx function in Diagram menu?

I am having NI-DAQ old version, I thought that was enough, now I understand the mistake.

Thank you very much 🙂
