Problem with closing an executable

Hello,

I have a problem with a builded application under LabVIEW 8.2

I wrote a VI that is running without any problems. When I stop the application the front panel close but there is still the icon in the task bar and in the task manager is still an entry of LabVIEW with the remark that it doesn't respond.
I had tried to close and stop the application with the invoke node FP.close or the invoke node abort VI or Quit LabVIEW, but everytime the same result.


Has anybody the same problem or a solution for this problem?

I've never seen that. What does your application do? Does it e.g. communicate with some hardware or use the network?

Just leave it and see what happens. Does it eventually disappear on its own if you wait long enough?

What kind of antivirus are you using. (For example there are some reported issues with LabVIEW 7.1 and NOD32, see http://forums.ni.com/ni/board/message?board.id=170&message.id=145350#M145350 ).

and thanks for the very fast response.

I attach the VI and maybe you can build an application and test it.

The icon in the task bar doesn't disappear after a time.

The VI only reads out two local txt-files and at the end it writes into one of them. There is no hardware or network access.
Allthough there is the problem that the application try to access to the internet when I start it. I don't know why, but unblock the application in my firewall.

Your question about the antivirus program, I use the GData AntiVirenKit Internet Security 2005. This includes a personal firewall and a double scan technologie, that it using the Kapersky and Bitdefender engine.

I built an application and it closes immediately here when pressing the stop button or the [X] button. There must be something else wrong.

No, I tested an example application from NI and it's running without problems.

The problem is that I have the same problem at work with an other computer and installation.
There must be a problem at my configurations or something else.
