Problem with Print Window in Landscape

Hi,

I am using "Print Window" menu option of LabVIEW to print Visible area of Front Panel. When I select printer setting for Portrait printing, the print is fine and same as visible on screen. However when I change printer setting to Landscape, the lower portion of screen(on print out) is cut. Also screen is displaced on print. This abnormal behaviour also changes if I change margins but it never vanishes.

I have tried changing "Tools >> Options >> Printing" to Bitmap from LabVIEW. This corrects the problem but now the print resolution is extremely poor.

I am using screen resolution of 1024x768 on LCD monitor. The screenshots of two situations are attached. Please help me getting out of this trouble. I am using LabVIEW 8.6 initially installed in Evaluation mode and now working in Base Licensed mode. However the results are same.

Thanks & Regards

Mnuet

Mnuet,

Just to confirm, is this LabVIEW 8.6, or LabVIEW 8.6.1? You can check by going to Help >> About LabVIEW...

I am also having a similar problem printing a VI.  I'd like to print out some barcodes but some of them are printing with poor resolution.  It prints out a few of the control using full resolution true type, and the others are in screen resolution.  I'm using LV8.5 but I think I've seen this problem in other new versions.

A printout in pdf is attached.

Thanks,

Bruce

I was able to get it to printout properly by removing a surrounding front-panel decoration.  Maybe your problem was also a decoration or some other object that was causing the printout to switch to a bitmap.
