Problem with ADO connection

Hello, I'm trying to communicate with a Access DB, registered as system DSN.

I've tried with labSQL toolkit and with ADO_toolkit , both gotten by LAVA site.

The only thing I see is a message: "interface non registered". I've checked, and I've installed ADO libraries from v2.0 to 2.7 (the last one availlable for WIN XP SP1).

With MS EXCEL I can communicate with the same database, and I can import the data I need, but with LV (v6.1.1 and v7.1.1), I can't connect to my database. Where is my fault?

Are you using a UDL? That has a test connection button, so after you declare the provider and connection string you can test the connection. After that works, most of the interfaces will work with the UDL.

I can't see UDL in new files to be created, but I've created it by text file, but double clicking on it, the message is Provider not found. Verify installation.

Maybe you need to reboot after the ADO installation. Otherwise, I would run over to the microsoft website and see if there is any troubleshooting over there. You might have to install MDAC : Microsoft Data Access Components (MDAC) 2.8 and also, you might want to reinstall Access with all the options enabled.

I'm re-formatting my machine because I've tested the connection on another PC and it works well on that one.
