I developped a small application with 3D picture (LV86 -Windows VISTA). Today, I opened the VI and when the mouse pointer moved over the front panel, LabVIEW closes. I re-opened LabVIEW and the VI and when I did a left click everywhere (over the front panel or outside), LabVIEW closes. I tried with LV2009 (same computer) and I have the same problem. I tried with solarsystem.vi (LV86 and LV2009) and I have exactly the same problem. I verified others VI (whitout 3D picture) and everything seems fine. Restarting the computer have no effect on the problem.
Any idea?

Hi Jean-Marc,
When you restart LabVIEW, is there any sort of message displayed about LabVIEW closing down improperly the last time it ran?

I have no message at all when I restart LabVIEW after it closing down improperly.

Try to do a repair of your LV install ( see install disks for the repair option).
It sounds like part of the LV core got stepped on.

I tried to repair LV86 and LV2009: no error found (in both case). I think I have to remove and reinstall LV86 and LV2009.

* I have the same problem with 3D graph.

Hey JM,
Did you solve your problem? How?
Because right now I am with the same problem that you were talking in your post.
I am using win7 and Labview 2009 in a desktop computer and it is working fine. I am using the robotics toolbox and 3d pictures to see the movements of the arm.
When I try to open the project (and VIs) developed in the desktop in my laptop (with win7 and Labview 2009), Labview closes automatically after open the file.
At the beginning I thought it was a problem with the files, but I have tried to open the robotics examples and they do not work too (Labview closes too).
If I open another type of VI or example that do not use 3d picture, Labview works fine in my laptop.
I think that is the same problem, so if you can help me to solve it I will appreciate.
Thanks,
Eduardo

Anecdotally, I've heard rumors this is caused by incompatibilities with video cards.
You might try to disable hardware video acceleration (in your display control panel) and see if that makes a difference.
What video card are you using?

Humm, I do not know how to do it. In my graphics properties there is not this option.
And the graphics card is Intel(R) HD Graphics (Core I5), with comes with my laptop Dell Latitude E5510.
I still do not know what to do.
Thanks,
Eduardo
