---------------
What is the meaning of the trap messages above where it tries to install NI-VISA and NI-GPIB drivers ?
Yes, I know Kubuntu, like all popular and widely used deb based distros, is not officially supported.
I have confirmed that I am running a 8K stacks kernel (2.6.20-16-generic). I have lsb-rpm and libdb1-compat packages installed and I did symlink /usr/lib/rpm/rpmq to /bin/rpmq. There was no rpmq (only rpmquery) in /usr/bin.
