Possible to change who the product is licensed to?

Wondering if its possible to change the name of the person the product (LabVIEW, in this case) is licensed to.  I activated the product under my name when it should have been activated under the companies name.  Any way I can change this?  Thanks.

Are you using the NI License Manager running locally on your machine to license your copy of LabVIEW, or is there a copy of the NI Volume License Manager running on your network that assigns licenses? Also, is this LabVIEW 8?

If you are not using the Volume License Manager to obtain licenses from your network, you can try changing the name your copy of LabVIEW is licensed to by going to the NI License Manager on your local machine (for Windows: Start >> Programs >> National Instruments >> NI License Manager). From there you can try two things:

1. Activate the copy of LabVIEW under a different name. To do this, select LabVIEW in the tree under Local Licensing and then click Activate. Go one of the first two procedures (Activate by Phone, Activate through Secure Internet Connection). Use the same Computer ID and serial number, but change the name accordingly.

2. If you have any problems with that, try deactivating LabVIEW first and then reactivating it under a different name. You should be sure that no other copies with the same serial number are activated under the old name. To deactivate LabVIEW, you will have to expand the top level of its tree control and browse down to the Development System item. You can right-click that item and select Deactivate. Then go through the steps listed above to reactivate it under the correct name.

Note that all of these steps can be undone if necessary by reactivating the copy under the original name, or by making a backup copy of your license file, located in C:\Program Files\National Instruments\Shared\License Manager\Licenses. Just make a copy of any of the .lic files with LabVIEW in the title. Then you can always reactivate LabVIEW by selecting Install License File from the Options menu and browsing to one or more of those files.

Hope this helps!
