Polar Intensity Chart or Graph

Does anyone know how to create a polar intensity chart or graph in LabVIEW?
This would be something that looks similar to a Doppler radar plot with
multiple color shades representing density. Ideally, I'd like it to be able
to update as a chart (live time polar sweeps) but updating an entire
intensity graph periodically would be acceptable.

takes a look at

C:\Program Files\National Instruments\LabVIEW 8.2\examples\picture\demos.llb\Radar Plot Demo.vi

to start.

This thread also has some interesting links.

I used a picture control to do this.

Correct me if I'm wrong but these do not plot intensity. Also, I can't get
the second link to work.

Hi,
It sounds like you are looking to add different colored data points on a polar plot.  I would start by looking at the example that can be found here.  With some modifications it could be edited to exactly that.

Thanks Eric!

I've already been able to modify this example to adjust the colors of points
graphed. I'll have to see how this works with large sets of data but it's
got me off to a good start.

I am interested in this same problem, were you able to find a good solution?

Hi Stanleyok,

You can use the Polar Plot.vi by searching for that on the control panel if you are looking for a polar plot. This discussion forum discusses the use of this in good detail. Basic information how to use this function is also available in this help file.
If you are looking to plot intensity, there are intensity graphs/charts located in Controls Palette -> Intensity Graph

Hope this helps!
