Now it is time for you to try programming something for your homework project.

(Here's a tip:  Shift Registers can be your friend.)

This is very similar to your other question. I would suggest trying something first and posting that. In reality, you should be able to take the code from the other program and just modify it slightly. It seems you are not trying anything on your own first, which you will find makes people fairly unwilling to help. It isn't out job to do the problem for you.
