Path question.

This may be a stupid question but since I am new to this Labview stuff
I'll ask it anyway.

I am trying to get a VI to open a wav file over the net. Is there a way
that I could supply an "http" address in the path so that when the VI
needs this file it can go online and get it??

Also I know that Labview can play wav files but can it play other files
like mp3. Wav files take up a lot of space.

Thanks,

ciro

Ciro,

Although i have yet to use it, my company bought the internet toolkit add
on and there seems to be everything you could ever need in it. I would believe
there is at least one way of doing what you outlined below.

On the topic of playing mp3's, there is a program on NI's wwebsite called
GAMP (pronounced 'Gee - amp' kinda like win amp). It will play mp3's. search
their site for the link.

Jared.
