Patch LVRT2009f2

I installed the Windows patch as requested here, i also received a paper letter from NI about it, which says that affected devices are cFP-22xx, cRIO-901x etc. But one thing is not clear: what do i have to do on RT devices i already deployed before the patch? Installing the patch on Windows and recompiling RT executables is enough?

Hi,

you are right, it is not so clear. Even in the readme file is not written.

I agree with you about re-deploying all executables after have installed the LVRT patch. This should be enough; but I will check and on the contrary _I will write you

I just casually discovered that, at least for a cRIO 9014, if i go to MAX -> Remote systems -> (my target) -> Software -> Add/Remove -> Custom (not recommended!), there is a "VxWorks floating-point support" item described as the vulnerability fix. Certainly it's well hidden...

You need only to install the floating-point support component to the target. You do not need to redeploy any Real-Time executables.

Cheers.
