Pane Connecting Problems

Hi,

I've a strange problem. I try to connect a connector with a control on
the panel of the VI.
I do it the way it should be done 😉
T does not connect.
When I try another control i does work.

Any ideas where to find the (my) bug ???

Thanks
Urs

Is the control already wired to another connector on the pane? It can only be wired to one connector.

While viewing the connector pane, click once on the control that you wish to connect. Look at the connector pane. It the control is already connected, the terminal in the connector should be highlighted. If it is and you want to change it, you can right click on the terminal and select "Disconnect This Terminal" from the popup menu. You can then connect the control to another terminal.

Thanks for help,

although it did not help yet.
I had 14 connections already and I had to add one.
I used 'add terminal' to get another one, did work.
I tried to connect the new one to a control - no luck.

I have found a work around : Disconnect all terminals, choosing a pattern
a reconnecting everything. This results in a lot of work, because the VI
has to be checked (and corrected) at all instances.

Anyway I would like to understand the problem, might be I could learn
something 😉

I just did exacly what you said and it worked fine. Did you have the correct tool selected when you were trying to connect the new terminal?

Even using the add terminal method you would have to relink all instances of the subvi. That is why I always try to have a few extra terminals on my connector panes for future expansion.
