PXI 1082 and labview real time module

HI,

I'm new to PXI 1082 hardware, does PXI hardware have to build by using labview real time module?

Hi hongya,

the PXI1082 is just a chassis: you don't program a chassis…

Best regards,

Hi GredW,

Thanks for your reply. Yes, I know I can program on Labview, I have labview standard service installed but not real time and FPGA. I have a PXI1082 with 8840 controller and an labview FPGA. I want to use them with my Labview. Do I have to buy labview real time module and fpga module to make them work?

thank you!

Hi hongya,

did you read the manual of your PXI-8840?

It says you can use Windows7 or a RT-OS.

When you have installed Windows7 on your controller then you can use "standard" LabVIEW (without RT module) to create VIs for that controller.

and an labview FPGA.

Where do you got that FPGA?

And why don't you call your local NI support to discuss such technical details?

Best regards,
GerdW
