What the problem is as follows.

I have a Aleen-Bradley PLC with and Input Card and an Output Card.
Address of input Card is: I:2/1
Address of Output Card is: O:3/3

I need to make a screen using Rslinx as an OPC/DDE to access the PLC Devices.
Your software is what we are using, could you tell me what I need to make
this happen.


I have gien a Topic Name in RSlinx called " Trimsaw" the Serice is the Program
RSlinx.exe

I have a toggle switch and a light on the new screen that I made I just need
to know how to make them work.
Toggle switch address is I:2/1 and the light is: O:3/3

Are you using RSLinx Professional?

If yes do the following:

Open RSlinx
1. Add a new topic "Name" (Trimsaw) under DDE/OPC>>Topic Configuration.
2. Under Data Source AB_XXX select a node
3. Under Data Collection select your AB processor type.
4. Apply it

Open Labview this is your control application
use DDE application request or poke method:
Service "RSLinx"
Topic "Trimsaw"
Item1 "I:2/1,L1" one bit
Item2 "O:3/3,L1" one bit
You can use internal bit instead of the I/O address.
