Software Toolbox has an excellent AB PLC driver here:
http://www.softwaretoolbox.com/store/item_pages/itempage_59.asp - I've used it with LabVIEW, and it's great!

Your PLC manual should contain a wiring diagram for making a custom cable to plug in to your PC, although AB sells pre-made ones too - have a look at:
http://www.ab.com/plclogic/plc5.html and you should be able to find the cable you need...

No. You can't link directly PLC S5 with PC, because S5 is equipped with current loop DB15 serial interface.
You need RS232-current loop (TTY) converter.
As I know there is no drivers for S5 to Labview.
You can exchange data between Labview and S5 by means of any Industrial OPC Server.
NI offer drivers for S5 to NI OPC Server.
Romek.
