PID Control Toolkit algorithm

Does the PID Control Toolkit use and ideal or an actual algorithm? It is not clear from the user manual which is used.

The PID tool kit include 2 PID vi's.  One is the basic PID algorithm, the other one is an advanced algorithm that allows manual presets and linearity adjustment.  Both are included in the manual.   It is not clear to me what an ideal/non ideal algoritm is.

Sacha,
To what year does this correspond? System reports 11/08. Ok; but what
year? Several of the links are not available anymore. Doing background
work many times reveals important points. That's when these links become
so important.
Thnx.

The references I linked to are all atleast 2003/4 onwards though.

Hope that helps
