The HP IPAQ rx1950 Pocket PC PDA has a mini HD connector port where the ActiveSync/Charger cable connects. The cable that ships with the product is USB which is ment exclusively for sync-ing with a PC. HP does sell an alternate cable that Y's USB and DB9. Has anyone ever used the sync port to connect to a serial instrument and establish a hyperterm type session using the Serial Compatabilty VI's within the LV8 PDA module. Question: Is it possible?
Serial communication with the PDA shouldn't be a problem. There is a great article that discusses how to do serial comm in more detail below. There is also a very good example in the Example finder "Serial Comm - PocketPC" that should get you started. I hope this helps!
