PDA Runtime Menu - Strange Behaviour

I have a runtime menu that works fine on a desktop PC and almost fine on a PDA!

All of the menu options work on the PDA apart from the 'Motor Control' option, (see attached image). When I click the motor Control menu item, I get another PDA menu on the bottome left hand side of the PDA screen with the following items:

Appointment
Contact
Excel Workbook
Message
Note
Task
Word Document

Anyone else seen this?

This appears to be a bug(?). I have moved the motor control menu item down and moved the limits menus item into it's place. The motor control menu item now works but the limits menu brings up the PDA 'Appointment......' menu. The one above it works ok though. Is there a problem with menu item no 7 in a list??!

Hi SSK,

How close is menu item number 7 to the PDA task bar, it could be we have an over-layed picture on the task bar, but it is still the foremost active object, so when you click on your menu item you are actually clicking on the task bar.

Please can you look into that possibility and report back.

Thanks for the clarification, I have just got my hands on the department PDA, so I can try and replicate your issue.

Just wondering if you could try putting a separator between menu items 6 and 7 to see if that will work around the problem you are seeing?

Are you using PPC 2003 or Win Mobile 5?

Also can you go to Windows Icon >> Settings >> Personal >> Menus >> New Menu and un-check everything on this screen.

I have tried clearing all of the New Menu entries and I still get the same behaviour (except the pop up menu now only says 'Customise').

I am using PPC2003

Inserting a separator does not work, it shifts the problem up to (to a menu position that previously worked!).

I have attached my PDA exe and the vi & run time menu.

I have replicated the issue with some code that I have created, I will have a look for information on this, otherwise I will need to escalate this to the US.

I was just in the process of replying to your issue.

This was reported to R&D (# 4C6334QW) for further investigation.

I have tried moving the menus around, and while I can stop the Device Info menu bringing up the Today >> New menu then the Discovery menu  brings up the Today >> New menu.
