That "codeless" radio buttons is not a standard core LabVIEW control.  I did a google search for "radio buttons (codeless)" and found a few entries that seem to indicate it's a customized control that is installed with a LabVIEW add-on of some kind. If you could drop one in a blank VI, save it, and post it to this thread, we can see if there's a way to pull that string out some non-standard way.

You must be correct.  I remember adding some modules through the VPIM.  There is no simple way to distinguish these from the core controls, since LabVIEW recommends third-party controls be added to the standard palettes. I can only apologize for the wild goose chase.  I am withdrawing the question and will be able to work around this issue.

OpenG also provides these kind of controls?. I just wanted to know as I have never used OpenG functions

For anyone who does want to play around with this control.  I have attached it as Radio Buttons (codeless).  I wish I could attribute the source.

It's a modified slider.  Use the TextLbls[] property and index array to get the text.  Something like this, but an implicit property node is fine (the snippet tool unfortunately automatically converts it to an explicit one).

Thanks for posting the VI, wildcatherder.  And well done, nathand, in discerning that it's a slider control...I honestly did not consider that possibility when looking at the OP's screenshot.  I knew it was too old to be an XControl...I was trying to figure out how to do that customization with a text ring or something...never considered a slider.

And here's a screenshot (not a snippet) illustrating more clearly what nathand was mentioning regarding the use of an implicit property node to get the Text Labels:

Thanks for the solution and the additional information. I couldn't figure out how to get the slide refnum.

Not that certain individuals around here need more ammo, but the Icon View of the terminal in the screenshot earlier was actually a BIG clue as to what was going on.
