Hi All,

I managed to communicate with instruments by MAX.

But now another problems arises: how can I read returned data, because when I use VISA read, it always appears timeout message.

Hi,

I would like to use an OSA to measure OSNR at different points of a transparent network. I use a HP70004A (display) with HP70952B (OSA). I have connected it to a pc using GPIB-USB-B. The connexion works quite well and I have succeeded to communicate with the HP70004A. Now I would like to get some data from the OSA (power measurement), but in MAX, the HP70952B is not recognized.

If it is possible, how can I communicate with the HP70952B ?

There are no LabVIEW drivers for this instrument.  You will have to learn the devices GPIB commands and how to interpret its data in order to write your own.
