Opening Files in older version of the Labview

hi,

i was working in the labview 8.2 demo version, in that i have developed some of the applications.
Now we got registered version of Labview 8.0 Application builder.

The files i have developed in the demo version of 8.2 is not opening in 8.0.

Please provide some suggestions ASAP,

because of this we are investing lot of time in rebuilting the application again.

First open your toplevel VIs in 8.20, then go to "File... Save for previous version". This will convert them to 8.0.

Open your vi in LabVIEW 8.2 and use option ' save for previous version' and see if you can save your vi for LabVIEW 8.0

Also read this doucment which tells about a possible problem while doing this conversion and a solution for it

i again need to install the demo version of 8.2 in my system and do this?

hope this will not affect the 8.0 version...

Yes, you can have both versions installed on the same computer.

(I am curious. Why did you get version 8.0. Why didn't you get the registered version of 8.20 instead? ;))
