Open VI reference for VITs and VIs

Hi Juan

I was just wondering if you were able to find the differences in timings between LV 8.5 and LV8.6?

Thanks

Vaa San.

Actually, R&D already knows about this issue and is currently looking into it.

That is correct.

I saw a few CARs comparing 8.5 with 8.6. But they were more structure specific such as:

  • Corrective Action Request - #54382: loading a VI with a timed loop is 5% slower in 8.5, 9% slower in 8.6

Keep in mind that in order to reduce compiling time, both the VI opening the target VI and the target VI itself needs to have the same version . Opening an VI in 8.5 with LabVIEW 8.6 will cause the 8.5 VI to be compiled into 8.6 taking more time complete the run.

I tested this and I still saw a lag with 8.6
