OPC Windows 2000

I have Windows 2000 and the Industrial Automation Server with OPC interface,
with labVIEW 5.1.2RT of labVIEW 6.0. I open the server explorer to and use
the wizard setup communications with a GE Fanuc 70-30 controller. I add a
port to the Comm Resources and then try to add a device there is nothing in
the port selection. Also when i close the sever explorer and restart, the
port I added does not appear, but I get an error message when I try to add
the same Comm Resource reference port.
Any Suggestions on getting this to work?

GE fanuc uses a Versapro program and configs
to communicate to I/O's. Maybe you have to
go thru Versapro and hand shake it over.

Just a thought. I'm learning too.
