Number of available FIFO's

Solved!
Go to solution

I'm still very new to LV, mostly self thought and don't have any other people around me who also have to work with LV so bear with with me, even if my question seems trivial.

I'm using a cRIO 9074 in combination with EtherCAT Drives and and would like to uses DMA's from the host to the target and from the target to the host. But from what I understand, my system only has 3 DMA's available and 2 of those are used up by the scan engine which used to communicate with the EtherCAT drives. Thus I can only have one DMA link between the host and the target.

Did I understand that correctly?

Thanks for the help.
Daniel

Yes that's correct. A cRIO-9074 has three DMA's, the scan engine always uses 2 DMAs.
