Thanks, Ben.  I could read the originals just fine (except for the 4th like you said, no global).  I was just wondering why he thought they needed converting when they all loaded unbroken in LV 7.1.  I thought maybe the 4 VIs in question used LV VIs that were still around in 7.1 but not in 8.x.  That would be the only reason I could think that bebeto would still be having issues.

Does that have something to do with texting?

Re: the mystery about those files.

VIs older thatn LV 7.1 can not be opened in the most recnet version of LV. By saving them as LV 7.1 I bridged the gap.
