Need a permanent (remote) application reference

I need a permanent remote Labview application reference. Spending each time 4.8 seconds for Open
App. Ref. is not acceptable !

I have to write a driver which will be called by a
(huge) main program. The driver is called and exited
many hundred of times, and needs the remote app. ref.
I don't want to modify the main program, as it is
already widespread.

I have tested the permrefs.llb, but it does not work
(I have only Labview 6.0.2, not TestStand )

Any clue ?

If you want a permanent reference to a remote app, then I believe you will need to keep the client open permanently, as well. I think that your solution lies here. When LabVIEW exits it closes all references that it opened.
