NI USB-9162 driver works for MAX and SignalExpress, but not for LabView

Solved!
Go to solution

Hi,

I searched for a solution for a while now. According to NI websites, the NI USB-9162 is compatible with LabView 2012. I installed the latest DAQmx. My hardware has been detected and is responsive for MAX and works just fine in LabView Signal Express. But it doesn't get detected in LabView 2012. I searched througout the forum and did'nt find any solution other then deinstalling everything and reinstalling. This is very much time conssuming and would rather avoid if possible. Does anyone has a solution? I would much appreciate.

Tool:

NI USB-9162

NI RIO-9215

Hi Benjamin,

do you have DAQmx functions available in LabVIEW? If yes, then you should be able to use the USB9162 with LabVIEW...

When you don't find those functions, you will need to install DAQmx for LabVIEW (again)...

Atleast the RIO9215 isn't a correct name! You should give the number for the cRIO chassis, as the 9215 is just a module for cRIO or cDAQ devices...

Benure,

If you install the driver before you install LabVIEW there is a high probability that your LabVIEW doesn't detect the driver. I would recommend you to reinstall the driver.

I did install Labview first, but I stilled tried to uninstall the DAQmx and reinstall it, still not working. I'm going to uninstall and reinstall the whole thing and see if it's going to work. Maybe I missed some administrator privilage or something.

I'll will let know if it worked or not.

I reinstalled everything, and now I can work with it. I can't say what I did wrong on the first time, but now it's working fine along with other bugs that are now fix.

Thank you for your answers
