Hi,

Our company is currently subscribed for local support.

And its going ton expire.

If we want to extend the support do we have to pay for that?

Thanks

I think getting the quarterly updates CD is worth the price for support.

1.  It seems the cost of the support is about 1/4th to 1/3rd the cost of buying the Labview package brand new.  So without the updates you'd only be able to upgrade every 3 or 4 years at the same cost.  In 4 years, there would be 16 quarterly updates.  While some are just bug fixes (but you may still need them depending on whether the bugs affect your programming or not), some are true upgrades.  So with support you'd get 3-4 true updgrades during that same time period.

2.  Get the technical support from the NI technical engineers.

3.  It keeps you up to date and allows you to keep up with what's going on in the forums, because when other people update you would not be able to open their newer VI's.

You can check out the overview information we have about our support contracts here.
This overview will tell you what is included with each service level and you can also find out how to get them.

Have a great day!
