I too am starting to have this problem.  I recently updated my dmm driver from 2.5 to 3.0.2 and am having this problem.  I have installed the updated driver onto our lab computers which already have a version of NI-MAX installed and have had this problem everytime.  Now, if I install it on my personal computer, it does work.  I have already tried stopping/starting this service many times to no avail.  Any ideas?

After installing I2C adaptor software I started getting these error messages every time my PC boots up. I tried "Repairing the installation" as suggested - to no avail. Anyone with another suggestion? thanks a lot

I tried all possible solutions showed in this discussion but nothing worked, finally I decided to format my laptop end reinstall all, and everything worked fine.
