NI-6025e-daq

Does the DIO's of the NI-6025E-DAQ card has a voltage of 5V and a current of 50mA? If all DIO's are used together would the current of 50mA from each be divided or drop?

The levels of the DIO of the PCI-6025E are TTL comptible.

and according to the manual, port 0 levels will be

4.35 V to 5 V for Output hi and 0 to 0.4 for output low

the current capability is 24 mA source current for Output Low and 13 mA sink current for Output Hi, way less than the 50 mA you are expecting

The other ports (1,2,3) have less current rating (2.5 mA)

If all DIO's are used together, it will deliver its rated current regardless of how many DIO's are used.

Hi,

You may consider wiring up a buffer IC (like 74ACT244)  for a better current capability. This will help you to protect the port pins as well. And yeah, note that the 6025E card has a default output state of HI. So from my past experience, the moment I close my LabView program, it returns to the HI state causing my hardware to get activated. So you may consider Active LO states for your hardware.

If your intenetion is turn a relay ON/OFF, you could use an SSR (solid state relay) that is turned on/off by the daq card (DIO channel).
You can then use the SSR to set your output relay (ON/OFF).  Normally, an SSR should be able to handle the required current.  Some SSRs take DC voltage(they may take for instance 24 VDC), and others are for AC applications (taking 120/240VAC).
