My controller dosent get the feedback

Please read Colin's answer about the problem with the tach you're using. An please, in the future, don't attach bmp files. They take far too long to download. Save files as jpeg. Windows paint supports this format.

Hello,

In order to do any DAQ applications, you need both a DAQ board and the DAQ drivers. I saw on an earlier post that you have a PXI device, what PXI board do you have (e.g. PXI 6220, PXI 6229,etc)? You might be able to use this board to perform the excercise.

Traditional DAQ is our old driver, now we use DAQmx. If your PXI device is supported on DAQmx, I would encourage you to use this API to do your programming.

Hope this helps!

LA

P.S I would appreciate it for next time if you could post your DAQ questions under the DAQ section of the forums which you can find here

Hello,

If you only a have PCI 7342, then you need to buy a DAQ board in order to read some analog inputs and do the fourth exercise of the LabVIEW manual.

Hope this helps,

LA

sumitha:

I just came across info that the newly released DAQ 7.4 can simulate hardware, that is, you do not need a card in your system to run code. You may want to look into this.

Hi Sumitha,

Let me mention a couple of things.

First, you should probably create a new thread when you have a new question. This will help everyone see that there is a new question that can be answered. If everything is within the same thread, it makes it a little bit more difficult to understand your post. Additionally, creating your question within the proper section (i.e. 'DAQ' or 'Motion') can also be very helpful. Please do these things in the future.

As for your question, If I understand you correctly, you are asking if DAQ 7.4 will support the PCI 7342. The DAQ drivers support the Data Acquisition product line, and are not needed for the PCI 7342. If you want to look into the functions of the DAQ driver, you certainly can, but keep in mind the DAQ driver and 7342 are completely unrelated.

You were also asking about how to stop motion with the 7342. Within the interactive portion of Measurement and Automation explorer you can select to 'Kill', 'Decelerate' or 'Halt' motion. Within Labview, you can use the "Stop Motion.vi" which is on the Flexmotion palette in the 'Start/Stop' motion folder.

Hope this helps,

Robert
