Mouse scroll wheel doesn't work in LabVIEW 9.0 conrols/functions pallets

I don't recall if mousewheel-scrolling worked in the functions/controls pallets in previous LV versions, but it'd be a nice addition if not expected to work currently.  I find myself constant trying to do this while the cursor is over a pallet, but the block diagram (or front panel) scrolls up/down instead.

Thanks!

I have been disappointed with mouse wheeling not working in various apps in the past, until I discovered a little app called KatMouse:

http://ehiti.de/katmouse/

normally windows responds to the scroll wheel by scrolling the window with keyboard focus.  KatMouse changes this so the topmost window under the mouse scrolls.  This opens up mousewheel scrolling in places where it doesnt usually work and lets you get it rolling (hehe) in places where you'd have to click first.

so it's a letdown, but I just tried this in LV.  with the app off, I see what you're experiencing.  with it on, it doesnt scroll the window, but it also doesn't scroll labview, so at least there's that.

The mousewheel-scrolling isn't a feature that the palettes support. I agree that it'd be a useful feature to have and encourage you to bring it up on our Idea Exchange. Features with a high number of votes will let our R&D department know how much customers like you want to see it in future versions of LabVIEW.
