Hiii Tony,
On which interface you are implementing the Modbus? Serial or Ethernet? For serial i have already uploaded the simple vi in this topic, and you can find ethernet on the forum. please provide us with ur vi, so that we can see n tell u wats goin wrong?
I found that the Omega CN9600 is using the serail communication, so the vi i have posted can give you the idea, another thing you do is pls post your vi and apart from that download the "serial monitor" software from here, and after starting this software for your com port which you are using it for communicationg with your instrument, start the vi and to communicate with your instrument, so you will be able to see what query is goin to the com port and what is the reply coming on the com port, so you will be able to analyse.
hope this helps, but still you upload your vi, so that it can be analysed.
Thanks,
Nishant

Nishant,
can you post your MDmodified.vi in Labview 7.0 version?
Thanks,
Tony

Hiii,
Ya surely I am sending you original MBModified.vi, and i think you should use that only instead of what you are doing currently, i really couldnt understand the concept you are trying to develop, neways here in this post i am attaching the original MBModified.vi, you just use it by default by entering the necessary parameters.
Thanks,
Nishant

Also when I am trying to open your .vi some subvi's are missing (MBcrc, MBwaitForSerialDigStatus, MBwaitForSerialRegisters, MBconvertDecimal). Do you know where I can get them (they are definitely not in the ModBus library published earlier in this post).
Thanks a lot,
Tony

Hi
I have read several of the Modbus threads without getting where I want. Maybe It's just me being very slow.
My task should be quite simple; I want to read 4 register values from an ABB ACS350 motor drive continuously. The ACS350 run a Modbus RTU protocol over a 485 line. I have downloaded the Modbus library and have tried to use the various modules without success.
Is there anybody that can point me in a direction? The motor drive adress is set to 1 and the registers I would like to read are 102, 104, 106 and 110.
Regards,
Peder
