Modbus Library - Deploying remotely to a CompactRIO

I have a CompactRIO on the other side of the world. It is easy to change the executable in the RIO by using the FTP and pasting the revised program over the old one. I just ask our customer to download our revised program and perform this task.

However, I need to change the Modbus Library now, adding some registers. Is this possible in the same way using the FTP? In the past I have only used Deploy function from the project folder.

Are you referring to a library of VIs or a library of variables? The former may require a software installation, while the latter can usually be accomplished by deploying settings in the project.

Nobody has Labview software at the plant. I'm looking for a way to update the library of variables without the software just like I can change the VI.

I think the only way to do this is to rebuild the executable and re-deploy it.
