Missing DAQ Assistant in LabView 8.0

Hello,

In LabView 7.1 I have the DAQ Assistant under the "Inputs" folder, but in ver 8.0 it is missing.

However I do have some DAQ functions in the "Measurement I/O" folder, but not the DAQ Assistant.

I have installed the PCI 6601 that I want to use as position controller and general I/O

any suggestions?

What version of the DAQmx driver are you using? It sounds like you have not installed support for LV 8.0 when you installed the driver. I would recommend trying to reinstall the lastest version of the DAQmx driver.

Abhinav,

I reinstalled the drivers that came with the PCI 6601, and everything works fine. 

It seems that Labview 8 has to be installed before the drivers.
