Measure duty cycle using DAQ digital input

Solved!
Go to solution

Hi all!

My system owns a PXI-8269 card and i would like to measure the duty cycle of a PWM digital signal generated by a device.

To acquire this signal, i'm going to use a DAQ digital input (PFIx) instead of a DAQ counter (CTRx) (they are already used for other applications).

Searching the examples database, i only found VIs which use counters. So i'm wondering if it is possible to realize this and how could i.

Thanks!

Hi Arco,

Not sure what type is your hardware (PXI-8269), I can't find it on NI product page. Do you have spare Analog Input? It may be easier to use AI rather than DIO.

Cheers,

Sorry, the correct part number is PXI-6289.

I solved acquiring a digital waveform, converting it to an analog waveform and then using the correct function in Functions palette -> Waveform -> Analog.

Thanks!
