Make foreground and background the same color

Is there some simple way to make the foreground and background color the same color?

The color picker tool only lets you choose between sampling both background and foreground, or either separately.

I want to sample a color and use that sample for both foreground and background.  

Otherwise, it is very hard to match the two colors.

I found a way to do it:

Sampling the color that I want puts it on the History menu on the Color Set Tool.

I can switch to foreground or background selection and pick that color from the History menu.
