Hi,
 
how can I read the system performance (CPU, memory usage), which is shown in the task manager of Windows, programmatically from within a LabVIEW program?

Go to Help>>Find Examples.

Under Communicating With External Applications>>.Net you will find the Simple Task Monitor example, which does exactly that.
