MacOs: HowTo remove com.ni.ServiceLocator??

Solved!
Go to solution

I have tried one Labview version on my Mac some time ago and removed it,

today i found the the console if full with the following messages:

23.04.09 07:27:05 com.apple.launchd[1] (com.ni.ServiceLocator[7182]) Exited with exit code: 1

23.04.09 07:27:05 com.apple.launchd[1] (com.ni.ServiceLocator) Throttling respawn: Will start in 10 seconds

23.04.09 07:27:15 com.apple.launchd[1] (com.ni.ServiceLocator[7183]) posix_spawnp("/Library/Application Support/National Instruments/Service Locator/nisvcloc", ...): No such file or directory

it seems to me that there are some relicts of the Labview installation, how can I remove the script that triggers the launchd daemon?

best regards

Hey,

i hope you installed the MacOS LabVIEW version.

I found a KB to disable the Service Locater: http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/FB8F357CEADE7DF186256CCA00191C6D?OpenDocument

Kind regards,

Elmar

Ys it was the OSX version,

i know the KB-entry, but i removed LV already,

so the paths and files are not there anymore.

Ok,

there must be a old data entry that produce the message.

Please take a look on your drive /Library/LaunchDaemons und /Library/LaunchAgents and delete the file manually.

Kind regards,
