Loopback not working

I dloaded the loopback vi from ni.com and tried shorting the pin 2 and 3 of RS232 but i don't receive anything back.
I am pretty sure I am using the right COM port.

Please post the vi, and let us know what version of Labview you are using, and what com port. give more detail if possible.

My COM port was blown up. I tried using the vi on a different station and it worked fine.
