Laptop Serial VISA problems

Hi, I'm having problems getting a laptop to run the code that I have written and tested on a desktop.

Basically I need to run a stepper motor via the Serial port.

My code works perfectly with the PC, however the laptop delivers back the an error message (see attached)

The stepper motor comes with a piece of test software and this does work on the laptop, so I can see no logical reason why Labview wouldn't let it.

Is there a logical reason for this?

Any help would be greatly welcomed as I need to show my work on Friday and I don't want  to take my PC 300 miles up to London on my lap

It would seem that you don't have VISA installed. The error code means"VISA:  (Hex 0xBFFF009E) A code library required by VISA could not be located or loaded." but you get the "undefined" message when VISA isn't installed at all.

I have re-installed Labview and put on the most recent DAQMX software.. but no luck with that

How can I install the VISA?
