Labview vs. Steeplechase

Hello all I am looking for some opinions on Labview vs. Steeplechase. Our applications are mostly assembly and Quality Checks. Software would need to communicate with AS400, Barcode Scanners/Printers, and possibly a GEMBA System. I am leaning toward Labview because I have more experience with it but i need some pros and cons to show the powers that be. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Some more information about how those system components need to communicate with LabVIEW would be helpful, however, there is an outstanding new section of NI's website about instrument control.
