Hi

The best place to look would just be on

I would reaserch into running such an old version of LabVIEW however as Ni cannot support LabVIEW 4 on linux platforms.

As for making an exe, in later versions of LabVIEW the process is Identical and built via the project but again on LabVIEW 4 I can not be sure as I do not have a copy of it here to test.

Hi there

Yes there is a sepparate version of LabVIEW for Linux

Quite a usefull resourse to look at is linked below. This might answer some of your questions.

There is not I'm afraid an evaluation version for linux available to download but if you are familiar with using LabVIEW the the functionality is similar in both applications.

I hope this is of some help, I'm sorry that I cannot be more specific but without knowing your application needs then it is hard for me to reccomend the next steop in using labview and linux in your situation.

best regards

Only the installation instruction is in German, the LabVIEW distribution itself is English one.

Hi,

Thanks for the links.

As i told i was working with labview in windows environment.

I want to make a research work on working of labview in linux environment

That is starting from the beginning...which versions are for linux and is there any deifference in control panel/block diagram of linux compared to windows.

I want to know how to make exe after developing an application.

So is there any link that provide from the beginning. All labview tutorials are aimed for windows environment.

Is there anything for linux?

The first version of LabVIEW for Linux was at around LabVIEW 5.1. There is a big difference between LabVIEW 4 and LabVIEW 5 and an even bigger one between LabVIEW 5 and LabVIEW 8. You will not be very happy to constantly switch between different LabVIEW versions.

The 6.1 version that you can download from the German server is a LabVIEW full development system. It does not include the application builder so you can not create executables.

Most likely you are going to need to buy a LabVIEW license if you want to build executables too and that will probably mean going with LabVIEW 8.5 since NI does only sell the current versions.
