Labview for mechanical tests

Solved!
Go to solution

Dear All, I am new in Labview.  I will do mechanical tests using strain gauges. I need a program to get voltage (load cell) and 3 strain gauges. In my lab, we have some NI USB DAQ( (9171 and 9162). My questions: 1) do I need a new USB DAQ?. 2) For the software, could I use Labview-Base (annual)?.

Thank you very much.

Best Regards

Surya

For just reading the data, you can get away with the base version of LabVIEW.  But what else do you need to do with the data?  Some analysis functions may need the Professional version.

Thank you. I only need to read data and write them to TXT or CSV files. I am going to order the LabVIEW base version software. If you have an example of LabVIEW program for one voltage and three strain gauges, it will help me a lot. Thanks. Surya
