I will reconmend that you go to FTDI website They have a lot of information about the Chip and the DLL and How to install it on your system.If you search this forum for how to use DLL and LabVIEW you will also find lot of information.

Hello RPS,

I would recommend that you take a look at the knowledgebase that discusses How To Call External Code in LabVIEW PDA for Pocket PC. This should help you to use any DLL in your LabVIEW application. Unfortunately, I am not familiar with the FTDI chip, so I cannot recommend how to choose the chip you'd like to use. For this, I might suggest taking a look at the manufacturer's website and documentation to determine your requirements and help you to choose the appropriate chip. I hope this is useful for you.
