Hi everyone, I'm having a problem installing LabVIEW 2021 (from NIPM). What does this error mean?
Thanks
Best Regards

I got this error when I tried to install JKI dragon behind a firewall. Uncheck "JKI Dragon" when it asks you which additional items you want to install.

Hy Avogadro5, thanks for answer.
There is no "JKI Dragon" in the installation tree so i can't uncheck. The error remains.
Attached is the installation contents report (I only included labview and that's it.
Thanks
Best regards

Very strange! The Error Message you show in the initial Post mentions "JKI Dragon", while the (later?) NIPM list of what is being installed makes no mention of "JKI Dragon". This suggests (to me) that maybe you are doing an Installation on a system with some NI software (in particular, something related to "JKI Dragon") is encountered during your later use of NIPM.
Can you do a "fresh install" on a PC that no National Instruments components installed? One way to do this is to run the standard "Safe Removal of NI Software", a three-step process involving using Control Panel "Programs and Features" to remove all National Instruments software? This should (safely) get rid of JKI Dragon (which probably exists somewhere on your Hard Drive, and might also be in the Registry, but you should not try to look for it and root it out without first doing a full backup of your system, as you are likely to cause your system to require a complete rebuild in order to safely install LabVIEW -- I know this because I did it twice before learning my lesson!).

Hi Bob, thanks for the reply.
I think the only thing to do is format the PC because I can't even do the "Safe Removal of NI Software" because the only application installed is NIPM and I can't install anything else due to this problem.
Maybe I could manually delete the folders associated with JKI Dragon and see if that solves the problem.
I also tried cleaning the registry, but that didn't help 😞
Thanks
Best regards

Hello, Paolo.
I'm sorry you are having these problems. On the other hand, I agree that the "best way to recover" (and probably the only way to recover) is to format the C: drive, reinstall Windows, reinstall Office and other programs that are part of your PC "baseline", restore your Profile (and Desktops), and then re-install LabVIEW.
When you do the re-install, here are some suggestions:

You may still have the JKI feed registered. Try enabling the feed management tools and disable anything from JKI
If you can't access the NIPM GUI there are some command line and config file things we can try.
